integrates seamlessly into virtually any network topology. With no need for a
pre-installed client, deployment and ongoing maintenance costs are eliminated.
Advanced security features such as endpoint enforcement, SSL-encryption,
tokenless two factor authentication, and rich access-privilege management
enable enterprises to securely extend their resources to authorized users.
Features & Benefits
Secure and Easy-to-Use Remote Access
 | Users easily and securely access e-mail, files
and applications on the corporate LAN |
 | A customizable Web interface provides a
personalized portal experience and displays only those resources that
are available to the user based on company policy
 | Secure clientless access using only a standard
Web browser removes the burden of installing, configuring and
updating client software |
 | For enhanced capabilities NetExtender, a thin
client, is transparently downloaded through the Web browser onto the
local system, providing access for any TCP/IP based resource
|
|
 | Removes the complexity issues associated with
the use of some IPSec clients when traversing the firewall in a remote
location |
|
Powerful Underlying
Security Foundation
 | Transparent end-user authentication is provided
using a local onboard database or through integration with a wide
range of dynamic authentication methods and protocols including Active
Directory, LDAP, RADIUS, NT Domain, RSA, and Vasco |
 | SSL encryption provides hardened security,
ensuring data is protected as it passes between remote endpoints and
the network core |
 | Tokenless two factor authentication, if enabled,
requires a one-time password (generated by the appliance), in addition
to a user's default username and password, for login. |
 | Automatic cleaning of cache and temp files
protects against unauthorized access to network resources by erasing
all data upon logoff |
 | Remote connection timeout prevents illegal use
by terminating sessions that have been inactive for a pre-defined
period of time |
 | When the SSL-VPN appliance is deployed alongside
a SonicWALL Internet security appliance, traffic can be fully
inspected for viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, malicious mobile code
(MMC) and other sophisticated threats by the SonicWALL deep packet
inspection engine prior to being forwarded to its final destination on
the network |
|
Ease of Deployment,
Configuration and Ongoing Management
 | Granular policy configuration controls enable
network administrators to create policies that "lock down" a user to
specific applications/resources and prevent remote users from viewing
or using restricted network resources |
 | An intuitive Web management interface makes it
easy to configure, monitor and update the appliance and user policies
|
 | No need for a pre-installed or "fat" VPN client,
thus freeing administrators from the tedious task of installing and
updating a client on users' PCs |
 | Granular logging and reporting capabilities
provide detailed insight into network activity |
|
Scalable and
Cost-Effective
 | Affordable secure remote access solution that
provides access to files, e-mail, applications and more from any
location using almost any PC with an Internet connection including
work/home PCs, airport terminals and Internet kiosks |
 | Reliable technology designed to meet the
productivity and security needs of small and medium-sized
organizations from a leading security vendor |
 | Seamless integration within virtually any
network topology provides powerful, scalable and cost-effective remote
access to corporate resources |
 | With no need for a pre-installed or "fat" VPN
client, administrators are freed from the tasks of deploying,
configuring and updating software, reducing maintenance and support
costs |
 | SonicWALL SSL-VPN appliances are not licensed
based on concurrent user count thus allowing you to easily extend
remote access to a scalable number of authorized users
